Why do people do the YDT?

and

What would I walk away with at the end of the year?

Some people come to learn practical skills and to experience an amazing adventure while making deep, new friendships with like-minded people from all over the world who will stay in their life no matter what. For others it’s a time to put life as they know it on hold and give everything to God, allowing Him to shape and mould them as He wills, to break up the hard ground of their hearts or turn lukewarmness into a passionate, reverent love for His Kingdom. For many this is also a journey of healing, wholeness and restoration. Student’s often defer university, take leave from employment, or lay down romantic relationships, (if not married) in order to focus on God during their YDT year.

To get a better sense of the life skills learnt as well as the heart transformation that occurs through the YDT program, please read the testimonies of former students.

Students undertaking accredited training as part of the YDT will also gain a 10742NAT Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology. delivered under the auspices of Unity College Australia RTO 6330.
