Myriam Butler

Myriam was born and raised in Colombia, she was brought up in a Christian home and always had a desire to serve God and love people.

Since a young age, she was very creative, always keen to be part of the drama and dance team in church and always keen to share to others about God’s love for them through creative expressions.

When she was 21 she left home to be part of the Young People’s Team at Ellel Grange in the north of England. She enjoyed her experience so much that she decided to move to Australia to keep serving in Ellel Ministries. She served in two centres - in Perth and Sydney.

After that she decided to pursue dancing and spent a year studying dance in New Zealand at a Christian Performing Arts School. After finishing her course, she felt from God to go back and get more training at Ellel, as she felt more and more passionate to influence and speak into young people’s lives.

After spending 6 months doing NETS at Ellel Pierrepont in England, she came back to be part of the full-time team at Ellel Sydney with the desire to pioneer the YDT program. She has been doing that since 2011.

Myriam has been so impacted by the freedom and confidence she has received while being at Ellel that she wants to share that with others too. She is the House Manager and one of the YDT Leaders. She has a desire for young people to walk in the fullness of their God given identity. She especially has a heart to speak into women’s hearts about their beauty, worth and how loved they are by God.

Myriam is married to Cody and in her free time she enjoys spending time with friends, going to the beach, listening to music, painting, journaling, sitting in the sun, watching movies, laughing and making memories with the people around her.
